Simply Fit Board Reviews

Once upon a time on the TV series Shark Tank, there was a board that was pitched. It promised to help users get into fitness, lose some inches, and feel great.

Granted, there was more hype than just that, but it wowed all the judges. Lori, Robert, Mark, and even Mr. Wonderful jumped into it headfirst and got the Simply Fit Board those coveted investment dollars.

Naturally, everyone else bought the hype, too. It looked like loads of fun, promised results, and you could do it all at home, on your own time.

Sound too good to be true? Maybe. Let’s take a look at the Simply Fit Board in-depth and answer some of your questions about the piece of equipment.

What Is This “Simply Fit Board?”

The Simply Fit Board almost reminds you of a child’s toy sled or toboggan, but it’s essentially a plastic board designed to twist on the floor whilst you stand on it.

That’s right- you twist your way to fitness. The board’s claim to fame is that it shows you a new range of motion compared to traditional balancing workouts (such as the ones you do on a stability ball, balance beam, or elsewhere).

The board claims it can help you lose that muffin top, strengthen the core, and trim down your waist. You can get this on Amazon with free shipping. You can choose colors of blue, orange, pink or green.

It’s a piece of quality flexible material on which you can kneel, sit, or stand. You then make a twisting motion to do the workouts. You can do this on your own, or you can follow along with the free DVD that comes with your purchase.

Some industrious Youtubers have even taken to creating their own Simply Fit Board workouts.

The main function of this board is to work the core while you twist, but you can also use it as a way to make push-ups, squats, and squat thrusts harder. In turn, you achieve better strength, stamina, and flexibility.

What Sort of Workouts Can I Do?

There’s plenty to do with the Simply Fit Board.  Sure, most of you will start out twisting around, but once you get through the DVD a few times, you will come to see that there’s a LOT more to it than just those workouts.

Here are some movements you can do with your board:

  • Donkey Kick
  • Dolphin push-up
  • Mountain climbers
  • Spiderman plank
  • Rainbow Plank
  • Wood Chopper
  • Basic Twists

And lots more. Even simply standing on the board and doing regular dumbbell curls is harder because you have to balance your body and tighten the core AND make sure you’re curling correctly.

About The DVD

Many of you wonder about the quality of the Simply Fit DVD. It’s a pretty standard fitness program, well-produced and easy to follow. They are challenging but not impossible; you don’t have to be an elite athlete to do these.

The DVD features a total of 8 different workouts that come in at 10 minutes for each segment. You could do four on one day and four the next day and get in a pretty great workout.

Here are the segments:

  • Full Body Workout For Advanced Users
  • Pull workout
  • Glutes and Legs workout
  • Core/Ab Workout
  • Push Workout
  • Full Body Workout (Novice Level)

The workouts are pretty great, but the music in the background wasn’t so great. Hey, just remember we’re here for the sweat, not the tunes.

Trying out the Simply Fit Board

Before discussing how I fared with the Simply Fit Board, I want to make sure everyone understands that you need balance for this sort of workout. There is the risk of falling when you work out, especially if you do so on an uneven surface.

So, try this small move: stand on a single leg using great posture. If you can close your eyes for 30 seconds, you are ready to try the Simply Fit Board or other similar workout tools like a Bosu ball.

So, onto the main event.

Unboxing the Simply Fit Board

We unboxed the board, and it was easy to do so. It came in a standard-issue cardboard box with the DVD and a sheet of paper with instructions printed up.

At first, it felt pretty cheap. I became worried this was a waste of money, but I do remember it has to have some flexibility to it. Plus, a simple Google image search reveals persons of many sizes using it with no breakage.

So, don’t let how it feels make you worry.

I then decided to try out the beginner level Full Body workout as well as the Core and Ab workout.

How Was the Workout?

It was pretty challenging. I definitely felt it as I was doing the movements, and I felt my stability and balance being checked. I was working hard to stay where I needed to!

It was a fun and interesting way to approach fitness. I enjoyed myself.

That being said, it was certainly fun, but I don’t think there is anything life-changing or new about this particular board or movement. It’s just a different way to have fun and get some exercise.

It does add some difficulty and challenge to some of your basic, boring exercise moves- for example, if you ever wanted to up your squat game, this is how you do it!

And if you are a great athlete- as in, you can do 10 push-ups without stopping or other similar feats- try doing such movements on this board. It’s TOUGH STUFF!

You will use muscles you didn’t even know were there. You will feel it, too. Even though I am a regular at my gym, I could feel it the next day after my two initial workouts.

Does the Simply Fit Board Deliver Results?

The secret to losing weight, getting toned, and staying that way permanently is to eat clean, minimize your intake of sugar and processed foods, drink lots of water, and workout regularly- 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week is ideal. 150 active minutes a week is great.

So, a fun fitness board like this is NOT going to magically deliver abs to you- it’s going to be using this board AND working out AND eating well.

You DO, however, get a great workout in when you use it. You feel the burn, you feel great, and you can’t wait to do it again.

Using it three times a week for 20 minutes will NOT transform you into a different person. No fitness equipment or program can do that.

How Can I Make A Change?

If you DO want to change how you look in a big way or lose weight, or tone up- you can do it. But it’s going to take consistent physical activity, challenging yourself to harder workouts as time goes on, and eating well.

If that’s what you want, I’d recommend trying out this Simply Fit Board, downloading and following a healthy meal plan, and partaking in a fun fitness program, such as Yoga Burn. Yoga Burn is lots of fun and can teach people of all skill levels how to enjoy and use yoga to their advantage.

Like the Simply Fit Board, Yoga Burn is for everyone, and the price is right. I urge you to read my Yoga Burn review, too.

But yes – the Simply Fit Board does work as a single component of an overall healthier lifestyle.

Common Simply Fit Board Queries

Here are common questions people ask about Simply Fit Board- compiled here for easy reading.

Is this a Scam?

Nope. You can buy it right on Amazon, and they have a great return policy. Buy with confidence and return it as per their policy if you find it is not what you bargained for.

Can I Buy This in Stores?

I’ve never personally seen it at popular brick and mortar shops, but you can always call and ask an associate if they carry it- or check the store’s inventory online. Your best bet is to just get it online (and it’s more convenient, too)!

Could You Use This at A Standing Desk?

Yes. If you’re doing WFH or use a standing desk at your job, you can rock, twist, and stand on the board while you work and do other tasks, which makes for a nice way to work on the core without doing much of anything during the day. You can even stand on the board while you watch TV.

Is This Going to Help Me Lose Weight?

Yes, but only in conjunction with a healthy diet that includes a calorie deficit, other workouts, and consistent use. Without these three components, you won’t see any results.

You can absolutely achieve a stronger core, boost your strength, and increase your endurance using the board’s workouts.

What If Mine DOES crack?

Some of you will experience aboard that cracks, although it is rare. Thankfully Amazon is very friendly about their return process.

Just log into your account and start the return process as you normally would. The board can be taken right to your local UPS store or shipping hub, and they will help you pack and ship it back.

I advise that you save the box for a couple of weeks so you can use it if you decide NOT to keep the board after all – that way, you can recycle it and avoid purchasing a new cardboard box.

Final Verdict

The Simply Fit Board is a fun and interesting approach to working out. It’s great if you want to shake up your routine and have some fun working out at home.

It’s great for everyone from beginner exercisers all the way to those that have been working out for a decade.

Don’t go into it thinking this is going to be the one tool that gets you those six-pack abs, however. It’s going to take much more than that.

Like other fitness equipment, such as Bowflex machines, colorful dumbbells, and exercise bikes, it takes consistent use and a healthy diet of clean, wholesome foods to see results.

My advice? Give it a try. It’s a great way to shake up the day and get in a fun and quick workout. If nothing else, it makes a great gift for that fitness-minded person in your life.
